Flashdance the Musical

Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, the pop culture phenomenon of FLASHDANCE is now live on stage. With electrifying dance at its core, FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a bar dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. When romance with her steel mill boss threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream.

FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL features a score that includes the biggest hit songs from the movie, including the Academy Award-winning title song "Flashdance - What a Feeling," "Maniac," "Gloria," "Manhunt," and "I Love Rock & Roll." In addition to these hits, 16 brand new songs have been written for the musical with music by Robbie Roth and lyrics by Robert Cary and Robbie Roth.

FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL features a book by Tom Hedley (co-writer of the original screenplay), and Robert Cary with direction and choreography by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, Memphis).

Students & Teachers with a valid school ID can purchase $20 tickets to the Wednesday, September 25 performance. The tickets are cash only, can only be purchased 30 minutes prior to show time at the Orpheum Box Office, and the computer selects the best available seats. Limit two per ID.

What is the refund and /or exchange policy?

All ticket sales are final. Refunds, exchanges or retroactive discounts are not possible.

Can I bring my camera and/or phone?

The use of electronic devices is prohibited in the theatre. This includes phones, cameras, video and audio recorders, flashlights, etc. Due to performance copyrights and the disruptive nature of electronic devices, guests using these items may be ejected without refund.

Does my child need a ticket?

Children under four years of age are not generally permitted in the theaters. At designated shows, children of all ages are permitted. However, everyone regardless of age must have a ticket.

What is the food / beverage policy?

Outside food and beverage is not permitted in the theaters.
