Summer Movie Series 2009!

The Orpheum Theatre has announced its 2009 Summer Movie Series lineup sponsored by Roadshow MINI. Again this year, the Summer Movie Series will consist of Classic Movies and Chick Flicks.
The traditional Orpheum Classic Movies will begin at 7:15pm on Friday nights. Blue Hawaii will be screened at 6pm on Sunday, August 9 as part of Elvis Tribute Week festivities.
On Thursday, May 28, the Disney classic Swiss Family Robinson will be shown at 7:15pm. The admission for this special Family show will only cost $1.00 for adults and 50¢ for children 12 and under; the money will be considered a donation to the Theatre’s ARTreach program, which benefits The Orpheum Theatre's education programs.
This year, the Classic Movie Series will include a Paul Newman Movie tribute night on August 21 with a Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Cool Hand Luke double feature to honor the late screen legend.
All Chick Flicks will begin at 7:15pm on Thursday nights.

Admission to each movie is only $6 for adults and $5 for Children (12 and under) and Seniors. Drinks and snacks are available at the theatre. Memphis moviegoers are encouraged to beat the heat, and enjoy their favorite films on the big screen again!
