What if I have an emergency and need to contact someone during a performance?

Patrons are asked to turn off cellular phones and beepers when entering the theatres at the Orpheum and the Halloran Centre. Inform those who may need to reach you in an emergency to call 901-525-3000 with your seat number.

What security measures are in place?

The Orpheum Theatre Group is serious about the safety of our guests. For the protection of our patrons, theatre managers and private security personnel are on duty during all performances. Purses, briefcases, and bags may be inspected upon arrival.

The following is a list of items not permitted inside the Orpheum Theatre and Halloran Centre. We reserve the right to prohibit other items as deemed necessary. Patrons will have the opportunity to return items to their vehicles before entering.

• Firearms, knives, and weapons of any kind
• Illegal drugs or substances
• Laser pointers
• Fireworks
• Outside food and beverages
• SLRs, DSLRs, video cameras, and professional cameras, including external flash camera units or interchangeable/detachable lenses
• Pets other than service animals

Larger items that have the potential to block walkways or disturb other patrons will need to be stored at coat check. For your convenience, we recommend refraining from bringing large bags to the theatre.

Help us keep our venues secure — if you see anything suspicious, please tell an usher or other Orpheum Theatre Group representative.

Are there adequate restrooms?

Yes. In the Orpheum Theatre, restrooms are located in the parlor, balcony, lower lounge, and lower gallery areas. The largest facilities are in the lower lounge located below the Grand Lobby. Restrooms for the physically challenged are located in the parlor adjacent to the Grand Lobby. In the Halloran Centre, restrooms are located on the first floor near the stairwell outside of the theatre.

May I check my coat?

Yes, for a small fee. The coat check is located in the Grand Lobby.

What is available at the concession stands?

Concession stands selling candy and beverages are located in the parlor and on the mezzanine, and two full bars are located in the lobby. Additional stands may be open on the balcony and in the lower lobby for high-attendance shows.  While drinks can be taken into concerts and some special events, you will need an souvenir Orpheum tumbler to take drinks into Broadway performances.

The Halloran Centre's concession stand is located on the south side of the lobby. Additional stands may be open for special events. Souvenir tumblers will be available to take drinks into the theatre.

May I bring my children to Broadway productions?

The Orpheum's Broadway productions are generally suitable for ages 12 and older. Although kids of all ages are welcome to our family productions, children under 4 not admitted to Broadway productions. Everyone who enters the theatre must have a ticket.

May I tour the Orpheum Theatre or Halloran Centre?

Yes. Tours are open to the public at various time throughout the year. Tours are also available for groups of 20 or more. Call 901-525-7800, ext. 234.

Can I smoke inside the theatre?

Smoking is prohibited inside the Orpheum Theatre and the Halloran Centre. Please take your ticket stub for readmission if you leave the building to smoke.

What should I do in the case of a fire?

Exits are located to your left and right in the auditorium, in the orchestra and balcony foyers and in the Grand Lobby -- marked by red illuminated signs. In case of fire, please walk, do not run, to the nearest exit.

If the weather is bad, can I exchange my ticket for another performance or get a refund?

In the event of inclement weather, all performances will go on as scheduled. Each production is contractually entitled to the ticket revenues from their performances so long as the actors are on stage and perform. Legal exceptions are only allowed for “Acts of God” or “regulations of public authorities,” which happens when the government steps in to close a venue during severe weather or an emergency. Otherwise, “the show must go on.” Refunds and reseating to other performances are not allowed per this agreement. In the event of a cancellation, the Orpheum will notify all media and notices will be posted on our website.

Can I or my group tour the Orpheum or Halloran Centre?

Tours are open to the public at various times throughout the year.  Tours are also available for groups of 20 or more. Call 901-525-7800, ext. 234.
