Halloran Centre Honors 10th Anniversary with a Three-Day Celebration September 13-15

The Orpheum Theatre Group is pleased to announce events celebrating the 10^th anniversary of the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education Saturday, September 13 through Monday, September 15.

“The Halloran Centre has given the Orpheum Theatre Group the opportunity to deliver more great programs than previously possible,” said Brett Batterson, President & CEO. “Between concerts, theatrical productions, convention rentals, weddings, educational forums, awards ceremonies, and many other events, the Halloran Centre has brought people together in downtown Memphis.”

On Saturday, September 13, Bluff City to Broadway and Beyond: Celebrating 10 Years at the Halloran Centre will welcome back Orpheum program alumni in a cabaret style musical revue and a retrospective on a decade of education and entertainment at the Halloran Centre. Starring in this dazzling celebration will be Ethan Hardy Benson (Jesus Christ Superstar National Tour, Rolling Thunder off-Broadway), Raneem Imam (Memphis-based singer songwriter, Peace of Mind, Raneem & Better in Color), Melissa VanPelt (Hairspray Broadway + National Tour, Superfreak: The Rick James Story), and Riley Thad Young (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway). This special on-night event is sponsored by Evolve Bank & Trust. Tickets are on sale now for $34.55. From 1-5pm on Sunday, September 14 the doors of the Halloran Centre will be open for a FREE 10^th Anniversary Community Day. This event will feature live performances, guided tours, performing arts workshops, community partner activations, crafts, food, and fun for the whole family. On Monday, September 15 (the Halloran Centre’s 10th anniversary), Giving Day will invite the community to give a gift to celebrate this exciting milestone as well as support the next decade of entertainment, education and community engagement at the Halloran Centre.

Built to house the Orpheum Theatre Group’s growing education and entertainment offerings, the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education opened its doors in September 2015. Today, the Halloran Centre serves 35,000 students, teachers, and families annually through its expanded education and community engagement programs as well as a variety of year-round entertainment in Downtown Memphis.
