Enjoy an evening of Porter's soulful baritone and Lawson's Stevie Wonder-inspired soul at the historic Orpheum Theatre.

Gregory Porter is a two-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter celebrated for his rich baritone and soulful blend of jazz, soul and gospel. Raised in Bakersfield, California, Porter began singing in San Diego jazz clubs while attending San Diego State University before moving to New York to pursue music full time. His 2013 Blue Note debut, Liquid Spirit, earned his first GRAMMY and global acclaim, followed by a second GRAMMY for Take Me to the Alley in 2016. His acclaimed catalog includes Nat King Cole & Me, All Rise, Still Rising and Christmas Wish. In 2025, Porter received the Edison Jazz Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jarrod Lawson is a Nashville-based composer, keyboardist and singer whose soulful sound draws inspiration from Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway. His acclaimed albums include his 2014 self-titled debut and Be the Change, which reached Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz chart. Jarrod has been favorably compared to Al Jarreau and Mark Murphy.
